The dark glass top shows dust and fingerprints more readily than an opaque surface, but it takes no more than a soft, dry cloth or a microfibre cloth, used in gentle circular motions, to restore its clarity between uses. A glass cleaner used sparingly every week or two keeps the surface looking its best without any effort.

For the brown lower shelf, a dry cloth along the surface is sufficient for day-to-day upkeep; wipe up any spills promptly and avoid prolonged moisture near the edges where the MDF is most vulnerable. The metal legs need nothing more than an occasional dry wipe to keep their finish looking clean and considered.

Mid-century design asks very little of a room and gives a great deal back. Against a sofa in warm mustard, rust, teal, or even a straightforward charcoal, this table will feel at home; the dark glass reads as a contemporary note that keeps the overall palette from tipping too far into period pastiche.
